Assistant Provost for Regional Accreditation
As the assistant provost for institutional research and effectiveness, Dr. Kristen Bush provides leadership in compiling and supplying information that supports and strengthens administrative decision-making and planning at Virginia Tech. In addition, Dr. Bush directs efforts to provide data and resources to assist with required external reports and compliance issues, including those related to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Dr. Bush joined Virginia Tech in the fall of 1998 in Administrative Information Systems. She moved to the Office of Institutional Research and Planning Analysis in 2000, and was named director of the office in 2006.
Dr. Bush completed a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science from Concord College, an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University.
