TLOS and CRCPE: ADA Title II compliance target date announced, resources available
Virginia Tech’s Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education (CRCPE), in coordination with Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS), emphasize that all employees, including teaching faculty, are responsible for ensuring that the materials they create, share, or use, in any format, are accessible to people of all abilities no later than April 24, 2026.
As part of this effort, the Title II resources webpage has been created and serves as a central hub for tools, training, and support to assist faculty and staff in meeting these obligations. Key features of the webpage include:
- An Overview of ADA Title II Compliance and Virginia Tech’s commitment
- Accessibility Tools
- Training Resources
- FAQs
For nearly a decade, Virginia Tech has promoted accessibility education and the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL guides educational practices and ensures high-quality learning experiences by considering the needs of diverse learners and removing common learning barriers from the educational curriculum.

These include, but are not limited to:
- Bridge Experience Program

Parking Services: 2025-26 parking permits for faculty, staff go on-sale July 23
Faculty and staff annual, semester, evenings only, and remote parking permits for the 2025-26 academic year will go on sale July 23. Permits will be mailed beginning August 1 and are valid from the time of purchase until August 31, 2026.
Current permits for 2024-25 will expire on August 31.
Faculty and staff who wish to use their new 2025-26 parking permit to access the North End Center Garage or any of the gated lots on the Blacksburg campus before September 1 will need to email Parking Services or call 540-231-3200.
