Jeff Earley

Vice Provost for Academic Resource Management

Jeff joined the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost as Associate Vice Provost for Finance in May of 2010. In this capacity, he analyzes and promotes academic initiatives in the university’s budget process, and manages the resource allocation systems maintained by the provost office. He also provides financial oversight to the departments reporting directly to the provost. Prior to joining the provost office, Jeff spent five years as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Analysis in the Office of the Executive Vice President where he worked on special projects for the university and the Virginia Tech Foundation. He also worked in the university’s Office of Budget and Financial Planning for nine years, during which he served as a budget analyst, auxiliary budget manager, and Assistant Director of Budget Operations. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Tech, and is currently working on a PhD in the same field.
